A new concept plan has been developed for the Pommern Way Reserve. The design preserves all existing palm trees and other mature trees, with mulch and protection measures to improve soil health and retain shade. The reserve will feature a low-maintenance natural lawn area, a looping gravel path for access, and a concrete path connecting key facilities. A rock-lined swale will manage stormwater, and new garden beds with native plants will boost biodiversity. Additional trees will be planted to expand canopy cover and habitat. Amenities include a shelter with seating, a drinking fountain, a bike pump, and a composite timber footbridge. Existing shared paths remain for cyclists and pedestrians, with space allocated for future signage.
