Brittain Road Stormwater Project – Project Update

Works on the Brittain Road Stormwater Project commenced in February and are progressing steadily.

Initial site preparation and box‑out works are nearing completion. This has involved the removal of the existing road pavement material to prepare the road formation for the placement of new pavement materials.

Excavation of the swale drain along the northern side of the road has now commenced. This drainage component is a key element of the project and will improve stormwater management and road longevity in the area.

Once the road formation has been fully proof‑rolled and confirmed to meet required specifications, the contractor will begin installation of the kerb along the southern side of Brittain Road. This will provide improved edge restraint and assist with surface water control.

Subject to suitable weather conditions, the road surface is scheduled to be completed with a two‑coat spray seal in early April. This will mark the final stage of the works and restore full functionality of the road.
